A managed session begins when a host starts a meeting through the CamSync dashboard and ends when the last participant leaves. Scheduled recordings, waiting-room holds and camera-only rooms are part of the session. Screen sharing without an active camera feed is not covered by the managed session definition.
Video quality depends on the network path between participants and our regional relay nodes. We guarantee adaptive bitrate switching down to 360p during congestion, but we do not promise a fixed resolution for third-party hardware or public Wi-Fi connections. For consistent 1080p output, connect through a wired network or a dedicated VPN tunnel.
Cloud recordings are stored for 90 days from the meeting end date. After that period, files are moved to the archive tier and remain accessible for another 180 days on request. Meeting transcripts and chat logs are kept for 12 months unless your administrator applies a shorter retention policy.
CamSync supports built-in laptop cameras, USB webcams and IP cameras that expose an RTSP stream. We maintain certified drivers for Windows 11, macOS 14 and Ubuntu 22.04 LTS. Cameras using proprietary vendor SDKs without a standard UVC interface may require a firmware update before they appear in the device list.
The standard plan allows up to 50 concurrent video streams per meeting. Rooms with more than 50 participants automatically switch late joiners to audio-only mode until a stream slot frees up. Enterprise contracts can raise this ceiling to 300 streams after a load test is completed with your network team.
If the platform is unavailable for more than 15 consecutive minutes during a business day, you receive service credits equal to 5% of the monthly fee for each additional 15-minute block. Credits apply to the next invoice and cannot be exchanged for cash. Scheduled maintenance windows are announced 48 hours in advance and do not qualify.
